The Chimps can be described , in general, as cat lovers. As such, they were attracted to Old Tom, especially the need to whisper “puss, puss” before receiving your helping of gin – a custom which the Chimps are definitely planning to revive.
The Old Tom style of gin is slightly sweeter than dry gin, and this makes it popular im cocktails. Chimps wouldn’t be able to comment, as cocktails are, as we all know, more of a gibbon thing.
