Whittaker’s Summer Solstice

What’s your favourite season? The chimps should really be hibernating now. OK, yes some pedants out there will say that chimps don’t hibernate. We do like a nice long nap, tho.

Seasons do tend to pass us by in an alcoholic haze, so it it is fitting we are reviewing a gin called Summer Solstice in February.

It’s signature botanical are Pink Grapefruit and Pomegranate, according to the bottle.

Note: Education and History chimp are muttering something about Catherine of Aragon and Pomegranates but I don’t really understand. Please let us know if you can decipher this.

It is very quaff-able gin, but is not distinctive enough to make the upper echelons of the chimpy gin charts. So we are giving it a solid :

7/10

Keep tuned for a review of a Christmas Gin in March…..
